Introduction:-
India is an agricultural country. Most of its people in villages the main occupation of people is farming .The Indian farmer is generally a simple man. He wears dhoti and kurta or cloth like khaddar. He does not get time to be sad as he is always busy.
Home:- He is hard working yet he is poor. Many farmers live in huts. Some live in ordinary houses , made of mud .There are thatches on them. They are very small. They are not airy. some rich farmers have built pucca houses.
Education:- An Indian farmer is often educated and illiterate. His knowledge is based on old ideas. He is superstitious now many farmers. Now many farmers try to know new methods of farming.
Daily life:- A farmer generally rises early in the morning. He goes to his field with his bullocks and a plough. He start working and work till his wife brings food for him at noon. He takes rest for sometime .Then he starts his work. He goes on working till evening. In the evening, he returns home. Such is the life of an Indian farmer.
Source of enjoyment:- At night , he goes to Chaupal. He enjoys songs and dramas. Sometimes he smoke hukka. Sometimes he goes to fairs also.
Efforts of improvement:-- A farmer is the back home of our society. The progress of our country a based on the improvement of his condition . So the government should improve his condition.

परिचय:-
भारत कृषी प्रधान देश है। गाँवों में इसके अधिकांश लोगों का मुख्य व्यवसाय खेती है।भारतीय किसान आम तौर पर एक साधारण आदमी है। वह धोती और कुर्ता या खद्दर जैसा कपड़ा पहनता है। उसे उदास होने का समय नहीं मिलता क्योंकि वह हमेशा व्यस्त रहता है।
घर:- वह मेहनती है फिर भी वह गरीब है। कई किसान झोपड़ियों में रहते हैं। कुछ मिट्टी के साधारण घरों में रहते हैं, उन पर छप्पर लगे होते हैं। वे बहुत छोटे हैं। वे हवादार नहीं हैं। कुछ धनी किसानों ने पक्के मकान बना लिए हैं।
शिक्षा:- एक भारतीय किसान प्राय: शिक्षित और अनपढ़ होता है। उनका ज्ञान पुराने विचारों पर आधारित है। वह अब कई किसान अंधविश्वासी हैं। अब कई किसान खेती के नए तरीके जानने की कोशिश करते हैं।
दैनिक जीवन :- एक किसान प्राय: सुबह जल्दी उठ जाता है। वह अपने बैलों और हल के साथ अपने खेत में जाता है। वह काम करना शुरू कर देता है और तब तक काम करता है जब तक कि दोपहर में उसकी पत्नी उसके लिए खाना नहीं लाती। वह कुछ देर आराम करता है फिर वह अपना काम शुरू करता है। वह शाम तक काम करता रहता है। शाम को वह घर लौटता है। भारतीय किसान का जीवन ऐसा ही है।
मनोरंजन का स्त्रोत :- रात्रि में चौपाल को जाता है। मुझे गाने और नाटक पसंद हैं। कभी-कभी वह हुक्का पी लेता है। कभी-कभी वह मेलों में भी जाता है।
सुधार के प्रयास :-- किसान हमारे समाज का पिछडा घर होता है। हमारे देश की प्रगति इसकी स्थिति में सुधार के आधार पर है। इसलिए सरकार को उनकी हालत में सुधार करना चाहिए।
